shitty radio signal

the previous owner installed 1300 dollars of stereo equitment (all around speakers and a new deck)and thats all i know maybe wires and shit idk

but when i listen to the radio im gettniig alot of static on some channels and its making me think its my speakers not the radio.some stations are crystal clear when others suck but then later on they will be fine!the only thing i could think was my antenna was loose but it wasnt.any ideas?and also when i turn my base up i hear a weird noise and i know it cant be good but it isnt blown...ill try to make a video for that cus idk how to describe it

If a CD sounds good then your system is fine. With a radio you have a ton of things that could be going on. Unless you are rockin one of thouse old school house antennas you wont get great signal unless you are parked under the radio stations antenna. Even if you are in the driveway and it sounds good one min. but not the next it could still just be the signal quality being brodcast.

You could look that there are no power wires or any speaker wires touching the antenna wire. If you run the RCA cables next to power you will hear noise through your sub, could be the same prob.

A lot of aftermarket decks are designed for a bigger antenna cable and people will use a little converter to convert the stock to fit. Sometimes that will cause this issue.

It will require pulling the deck out to check the connections behind it but that is most likly what is causing your problem in the antenna side is fine.
