replacing stock monsoon head unit w/ alpine

    Hey Everyone,

Im thinking of replacing my stock monsoon head unit out of my 00 Camaro ss and replace it with a fairly new alpine head unit. Tech at Best Buy have said it cant be done because of the way the monsoon is set up but from some of the threads i read it can be done. If you know the parts i would need please let me know or if you know a thread with a good explination, post the link. THANKS!!!

It will work I recently did it to my 02 camaro, all you need is a wiring harness adapter and an antenna adapter.

Crutchfield carry's wire adaptors to almost any car/model, i believe that if you buy the Alpine receiver from them you will get the wire adaptor and installation guide for your vehicle for free. I buy all my car stereo equipment from them, they have the best customer service and good tech support. check them out

The adapters can be found at a few places, wal-mart, best buy, other car audio shops. They are very simple to use once you know what you are doing I recently put an alpine deck in my T/a with an ipod hook up and had the same set up in my 3rd gen camaro as well.
