    Replacements for factory speakers

    Hi Guys,

Of course i have had a good trawl through the threads but as i am in the UK a Kee audio kit or similar is
going to be a bit of a pain importing as they are not available here.

I have the stock Monsoon system and i am fine with that as i am no audiophile but the stock speakers have
begun to sound all rattly and vibrating and generally sounding rubbish! I imagine it is the sail panel
speakers but i will confirm that.

All i am after is finding out what speakers will be a direct slot in fit to replace the factory speakers (Sail, door, rear) but
from a bigger brand that i can find here no problem such as Alpine, Sony, Infinity... all the usual suspects. There must
be some with the correct size and all that?? Really don't need to get involved with creative wiring, just direct swap!!

I did read that Camaro are different from Firebird and that i will need to get certain specs. So... what are those specs
i need to look out for?!

    Thanks a lot...

    Steve...

I know about kee audio, and thanks, but they are there and i am here! I am trying to avoid importing
to just make it a lot simpler for the whole process and the fbody stuff from them is not available here.

Now.... if you or anybody could let me know the exact specs of these items so i can get another brand
equivalent that would be what i need to know.

I could import but it is not just the hassle, it is the costs piled on top for the VAT, customs duty and all of that!

Sorry, I should have read your post more closely. I do not have the specs for your speakers but short of you pulling them out and measuring your size and clearance, you might want to take a look at Crutchfield. I went through their site and there are some speakers that they claim will fit. I've bought speakers and systems through them before and always found their techs that answer the phone to be very helpful and either knowledgeable or they have a really good database to answer questions from. Very long distance I know but you can also email your questions. Worth a shot.

    Hey Steve,

I appreciate the efforts! I have just a had a good trawl through
the Crutchfield site and any help towards knowing what to buy
    is good!

I found a thread on here which shows somebody fitting these....
and by "these" i mean the JL Audio Evolution TR650-CSi 6.5" which
Kyle and the Z28 fitted in the second post. Anybody ever tried these?

    https://tinyurl.com/yc3sdpm8

and i can get those here for about $90 and there are some good reviews.
