Rear Deck LATCH bolts
I am trying to decide how best to install/display two amps and a 3f cap on the rear deck of my 2000 Camaro. Because the gas tank is directly under the deck, and I really don't want to drop the take to put in holes, I wonder if I could remove the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) bolts.
I don't want to pull the bolts out until I know what is under them (a nut of some kind I am sure).
I am open to other suggestions for how to set the amp and cap up. The well is full with speakers and other toys so the deck is my only option.
My insurance will cover any theft or other loss if the equipment is "bolted to the vehicle."
Because of the insurance I may need to put new holes in the deck... but, fearing the gas tank, I really feel most comfortable dropping it to install.
That is a ton of work just to display a couple of amps and a cap so I am hoping that there are some other suggestions.... or maybe I someone knows more about those LATCH bolts.

you can try something like this
Or use MDF board and go from side to side and put the bolts there along the edges. That will clear the fuel tank. Also it's ok to remove the luggage tethers they are captured nuts
Hope this helps.
