power antenna
does anyone know if its possible to hook the power antenna up to a switch so that i can be controlled independently of the radio? mainly because i hate how the trans am looks with the antenna up, and it bugs me even more that it goes up when i am listening to a cd or my sattelite radio. any ideas?

pull the radio and find the antenna wire and the regretably CUT IT. run any dual wire to the radio and connect to each end. (one to the wire harness wire and one to the wire out of the radio) Take your dual wire to a location u want to have the switch. there is a nice spot right below the lighter. This will give you control of the antenna. Happy chopping....

You could just buy a new deck. Most aftermarket decks i.e. the clarion and the pioneer in my two f-bodies only puts the antenna up when its on radio. Down on CD and Sat.
