they are JL8 WO's. but they're the 8 ohm model. i think i'd like the 4 ohm model better. but it sounds decent. it's not earth shattering. it sounds good inside, but you can't really hear it out side. but again, they're two 8's. not 10's. and they're not bridged..

Nice box, I think we might have the same. I gota ask how the passenger side 12" sits though, my infinity bottoms out on the inside. The box isn't symmetrical, the driver side has plenty of room, but I had to use some rubber foam to space the other speaker up about 1/4"..

for the price nothing can even touch them ,i have only heard clearer sound from a guy with an s10 that had 6" and tweeters from i think polk audio and they were around 650 dollars...but from what I've heard and been told by numerous audio shops is you cant really beat the clear and crisp sound of infinity

Nope, i can't say that i have any issues like that. Where'd you get u'r box? I'm thinking of ditching this one and gettin the audioenhancers box. They've a slightly larger one with more airspace that will really help my woofers.

Box has got to be at least 7 years old, and of unknown origin. Whoever made it put in the time though, the craftsmanship is great.

Too bad they cut out the speaker openings off center and the right side hits..

Box was originally out of a friends car, who bought the car used from Miami, this was back in 2000.

I just bought the passenger side subthump stealthbox and another type R 10" sub and another PDX 1.1000 amp, gonna stack it over the existing PDX 1.1000, I figure it's gonna beat pretty good.

    No shit???

I have the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 components in the fronts, and the 6.1 midbasses in the sail panel.

Hindsight is 20/20, next time when they blow I'mma gonna go for the CDT 6-1/2 speakers for the sails, they have MUCH better midbass then the Infinity's.

but my sound system still kicks ass though.

Oh yeah I got that 3-farad cap for 72.00 on ebay FTW!!!

Haha yeah. I acually got the 5 farad off ebay for $80! And for my T/A i plan on going Alpine 6.5 component speakers all through out and making a bracket so i can mount some 6x9s in the trunk. I just dont wanna put a full system in there. With those speakers and nice amp its gonna sound great. And i have no doubt yours sounds good cus mine does too! haha

I wanted to do the same thing, but with those type x's, I don't think my alternator and battery could handle that. As it is, when the bass hits, my lights dim and volts drop to around 9, even with a 3 farad cap. I'm getting a new Kinetik audio battery soon so I'm hoping that helps.

I just got the Optima yellowtop and am in the process of getting a 250 amp alternator, will be doing the big 3 re-wire first, then I'm going to change my setup and put all my amps on that flat space right over where the gas tank is, apparently stacking the PDX amps are only stackable if the amps are parallel to the floor of the car, I just read that in the Alpine PDX 1.1000 instructions!!!

Also I may change the power cable from the battery to the amps from a 4-gauge to a 2 or even a 0 gauge, apparently the 0 gauge power cable is for car audio systems btwn 800-3000 watts, and including the new PDX-1.1000 amp I'll be running up to 2600 watts rms.
