Pics of new HU

Got new HU for my birthday. Finally installed the system. I am so fricking thrilled with how this all turned out. Steering wheel controls, DVD, NAV, camera, bluetooth, etc. Step 2 will be the sub with new amp and speakers. Then I'll be in heaven.

What do you think?

I wanted to ask ya- when you say camera- do you mean for backing up?

Yeah it's for backing up. Nice for a truck butt don't really need it for the bird so it's not installed yet. Think I'll put it in the dash so my bride can put on her make up on the screen or something. It also takes downloads from PC and I can put my own screen saver pic on the HU. That will be fun.

That is exactly what I need (A backup camera) because I have a bad neck which makes it difficult- I kind of just ease out of a parking space and if noone honks their horn I am golden LOL. Not ideal.

What brand HU is that? and I would like to know where you got the trim ring too.

Those wheel stands will do that to your neck. HAHAHHa.

The HU is a Kenwood DNX5140. I should have got a DNX6140 which has the blue tooth already set up for $100 more. It cost me $149 for the kit to hook up the blue tooth. Very easy to navigate the system.

Totally scored on the trim ring. It's all in who you know. Was introduced to this guy (fabricator) who has been on the team for overhauling 8 times and worked on 32 of thier projects. Came out better than I could hope.

That would be a trim piece for a double-din stereo, essentially... maybe we could get him to make a few of these? There are many, many posts on this site from people wanting this very same trim piece...

in fact, since I could NOT get one, I went with a fold-out single-din VGA screen in my car... and I'd much rather have a static-mount screen myself...

I actually tried to contact two of the sites for the bezals that I've seen on this forum. Got Email responses butt no way of contacting or ordering by phone. I'm funny that way. I like to be able to talk to the people I do business with. Plus the 4-8 week wait was one day with this guy. I'll talk to him and see if a few can be produced.
