    Orion "the Beast" Amp ???

I am hooking up a Orion "The Beast" sub amp XTR 2250.
This amp is not produced anymore, but it is a very powerful amp, and that is why I am using it!
My problem is that I do not know how to run it bridged? I can run it with 1 or the other channel, but I am unsure how to bridge it. As you would know if you ever had one or hooked one up, there is no boss to clamp the wire down. Instead it has its own 8 guage wires for the speakers. Any help would be appreciated. Or does anyone know where I may be able to view a user manual for it?

In the pic below, the 5 wires you see are as follows:

    -bottom blue wire (remote wire)

    -yellow wire (channel one (+)
    -black/yellow wire (channel one (-)

    -orange wire (channel two (+)
    -black/orange (channel two (-)

Would I be able to hook the 2 positives together and the 2 negatives togrther to create a bridge? Isn't that how bridging an amp works?

no it uses a bridgeing module that you are going to have some fun finding, but depending on which series you could try channel 1 positive and channel 2 negative

Any ideas as to where to start looking? And what is a bridging module?

NO the FIRST edition uses it as I told you. Yours is the second Edition. Thats why your has the "NEW" style logo..... WITHOUT the MOON AND STARS as seen on this 2100..... http://cgi.ebay.com/Orion-HCCA-2100-...QQcmdZViewItem

Another EASY clue for those that are misinformed on ORIONS......
If it has a MONO button on the amp that is turning on the "Bridging module" so there is NO need for one.

I don't think you can fit enough subs in an F-Body to need that amp.

I loved my old Orion stuff when I was into car audio.

True that!!!! The subs today can't handle "REAL" power like that anyways.
And even if they can they call for 3.5cf of airspace. It's ALL Jap junk now......

the 2250 isn't really that big of an amp by today's standards. Similar to the 2100. There are a lot of subs that will take the power of the 2250 and fit in a camaro. Hell, I had L7's in my old camaro that had over 800 wrms going to them. And the new L7's can handle quite a bit more power than the ones I had (I had the first generation L7's).
