We lost it when the old LS1.com site went belly up. What do you need to know?

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Guess that's why I'm a "junior member" with 2 posts. I actually joined in '98.

I was just looking for speaker sizes, etc. for my 98 TA (monsoon).

The woofers in the doors and B-pillars are oversized 6-1/2" speakers. Also called 6-3/4" speakers. The tweeters in the door and hatch area are 1/2" domes. There is also a pair of 4" mids in the hatch area.

Hey I just purchased a set of Rocksford Fosgates (cheap speaker upgrade till I can go pro audio and add amps and such), front and back. They sound awesome!! And for just $450 for all six!! Esp. compared to my old ten year Sony Explodes . They were good back then, but are now blown and are just junk.

Soooo... to get to my question... As I was shopping for speakers, I also was looking at tweaters... How would one go about removing the tweater from the door and installing a new one? And have it look ok. I took a look at the back of my T/A door panel and it is "really" in the plastic. I could "cut it out", but how would I mount the new one? Do they come with the parts I need to mount it like the regular speakers do?

    Let me know Rascal!

    Thanks, Rob.

I mounted my tweeters in the factroy locations ('99 Trans Am) with the hardware that came with them.

I also made my own baffles for moutning the mid-woofers.

Niiice! Is that tweater Alpine? I'll have to try that out next pay check.

BTW, When I took my door apart (when installing the RFs) I noticed there is a second wire running with my old speakers (didn't see it when I first replaced the speakers in the door), I'm guessing this is the tweater wire .

I currently have them spliced with the speakers (as people have said to do, since I own a Camaro). Does anyone know where to get the GM plug for that, to easily remove them and install? If I get the new tweaters, I would kinda like it to look more pro or like factory and have them easier to remove and replace. I don't care to go to a junkyard for something so small, if I don't have to. Prefer to get that on the net if possible. And if I can get that, I need the driver side power window plug as well.
