Non-Monsoon and Monsoon

Does anyone know if the head units are the same part number for non-monsoon and the monsoon HU?
My head unit (1998 ws6 vert) looks exactly like the monsoon it just does not have the monsoon on the face plate.
I checked my RPO codes and they do not list the stereo as the monsoon.
Main thing is will the unit with monsoon on it work in my car?

I know a non monsoon unit will work. The factory one took a dump on my cars PO and it had one without monsoon in it.. it SHOULD work fine. Only thing different is the amp.

I don't think the HUs are the same between the non-Monsoon and Monsoon systems. Seems like there are more outputs going to the Monsoon amp than just the 4-spkr outs (LF, RF, LR, RR) from the non-Monsoon HU. In '99, the verts began getting the full Monsoon system, but in '98 the 'verts carried over the '97's non-Monsoon setup while all the '98 T/A coupes came standard w/ Monsoon.
