Never hooked up an amp before....

Well, I bought a 2 12's and an amp, almost a year ago actually, and was trying to decide what kind of box to make. After putting it off I finally got into fiberglassing and I'm just about finished with my box. The thing is...I've never hooked up an amp and subs before. So could anyone help me out here or link me to a site that would help me out? I already have terminal cups to put on the sides of the box and bought a $80 wiring kit from walmart since I had the store credit anyways.
