Need Help with my battery and alarm
I disconnected my battery 2 weeks ago to rebuild my alternator and switch out plugs and wires. When I touch the screw of the negative to the terminal, it sparks and my alarm goes off and my headlights flip up and down WTF. Is there a reset or something to get this to stop? Any help would be great.

Did you hook up the positive cable first?

Thanks for the feed back guys. I disconnected the fuse to the amps I have in the back for my stereo. That stopped the sparking when I touched the negative cable to the post. After that I just had to turn the alarm off with the fob. Pretty simple, just couldn't try it last night, my alarm would have woke up my son. Glad it was a simple problem.
