    monsoon wiring

Does any body know what gauge wire the factory monsoon system uses. My guess just by looking at it is 18 guage but can anyone confirm? Im gonna be ditching the monsoon amp/speakers and going with an aftermarket amp thats rated at 80w x4 @ 4ohms. I was thinking of just extending the factory wiring instead of running all new wire through the car but im not sure if 80watts would be too much for the stock wiring.

I am not using 4 gauge speaker wire thats rediculous. I hope that was a typo lol. Maybe 14 gauge. I will be using a 4 gauge power cable for the amp tho. Anyway i did a little research and came across this... http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166038
According to this chart 18 gauge would be safe up to 120 watts @4ohms as long as the length of the wire is less than 20 feet. What u guys think?
