Monsoon Stereo swap

I have a 2001 SS that has the monsoon system with a cassette deck. I have just found a monsoon system with a CD player that came out of a 2002 SS....are the two systems wiring compatible with each other so I can just swap the two out?

yes they are...........take the old one out......plug the wires into the new one and slide it back in

I need to do the same for my wife's 95 TA which has a cassette player. Which years of Monsoon radio/CD players can I use and will they swap as easily too? I'm also thinking of putting in a hidden antenna and disabling the power one (I find it creates noise with the convertible top down).
