Monsoon - Camaro vs. T/A Unit

I've been away from the LS1 world for a while. I'm picking up my new toy this week though, 2000 SS.

The only thing on this car that bothers me is that the stock head unit has been replaced with an aftermarket one. My first project will be to put a stock Monsoon head unit back in place, I like the stock look.

Will the T/A units with Eq fit or do I need to stick with the Camaro unit?

They are directly interchangeable

Which would probably look out of place, since the rest of the lighting isn't red. I believe the Camaros are backlit white.

With the huge amount of aftermarket systems available, I think there are much better options out there than the stock system. Some of the newer headunits aren't as flashy, so they blend in much nicer with the rest of the lighting and interior. You can even pick one thats backlit the same as the rest of your instruments. The increase in sound quality, tuneability, available inputs, and MP3 input capability makes it worthwhile to go aftermarket.

it will say pontiac on the TA monsoon head unit, but other than that it will bolt right in.

The red lighting can be changed they sell kits to change the color of all your dash lighting just don't remember the site
