What are you looking to improve, sound quality only? Or do you want some more bass?

It needs more bottom end, i dont know if it makes any difference but it is a convertible. so the speaker space may be more limited. Also, from what i have been looking at, i have only seen specs, and diagrams for 6 speakers ( 2 subs, 2 mids, 2 tweeters), but our bill of sale says that we have a 8 speaker and amp. thanks again

With a convertible it is harder to get more bass, especially with the top down.
The rear speakers can only be so deep otherwise they hit the top mechanism. As for the speaker arangement i think you have 6 1/2 up front with a tweeter mounted coaxially, and probably a coaxial in the rear. The monsoon amp is mounted in front of the spare tire. They make a nice sub enclosure that goes where the spare tire and jack is. Do you mind losing them?

I think that I am going to replace the rear speakers with high performance triaxials. Whatever I can fit....

, it took me a while to figure out that the front speakers are actually wired as two....

    Hence, there's your 8th speaker.

Now I have a custom tweeter pods on the doors and I can now see all 8 speakers

It drove me nuts for a bit there...
