silver- 1999 Chevy Camaro Z28
Monsoon :(
I just bought my 99 Z28 and the speakers are blew out..what will happen if i replace the door speakers with regular 6 1/2 speakers wired straight ? HELP PLEASE !!!

check out kee audio......they have complete packages for the f-bodies at a pretty decent price.

you guys must've gotten a different system than I have because for a factory set up mine don't sound too bad really. Of course I remember when factory set ups were 1 speaker in the dash.

Yeah, and we had to cut holes in the kick panels and package trays to add more
To the OP... there is always the option of buying speakers that have a separate tweeter and mounting the tweeter at the top of the doors. That's what I did and I like it.
I had my tweeter pods custom made, but, we have sponsors that sell them
Just an option...

monsoon sounded good for the first few years, but mine's gotten real muddy lately. Just replacing the speakers will probably work for a little while, but i'd suspect they'll probably blow out too from "clipping" eventually.

if everythings blown out already anyways buy a new deck, harness, speakers and run your own speaker wires. Could probably even sell the deck if it still works
