    Welcome to LS1.com!

The best sound you'll ever get from a monsoontobebroken is the sound it makes bouncing across the floor.. just my .02..

you guys must've gotten a different system than I have because for a factory set up mine don't sound too bad really. Of course I remember when factory set ups were 1 speaker in the dash.

Yeah, and we had to cut holes in the kick panels and package trays to add more

To the OP... there is always the option of buying speakers that have a separate tweeter and mounting the tweeter at the top of the doors. That's what I did and I like it.

I had my tweeter pods custom made, but, we have sponsors that sell them

    Just an option...

I used to have a 67 Chevy II (not a Nova - it was a 2 door post car) that was a radio delete from the factory...

Ditto, on both counts. Our Monsoon system doesn't sound bad at all. I had one blown speaker when we bought the car 2 years ago that had to be replaced. And... welcome to the site!

monsoon sounded good for the first few years, but mine's gotten real muddy lately. Just replacing the speakers will probably work for a little while, but i'd suspect they'll probably blow out too from "clipping" eventually.

if everythings blown out already anyways buy a new deck, harness, speakers and run your own speaker wires. Could probably even sell the deck if it still works
