Just replaced door speakers with Infinity 6032si - thumbs up
Summary: 2001 Z28 Coupe
Deck: Alpine 9835 CD player connected to stock monsoon amp and wiring
Speakers: Infinity 6032si in doors, Stock sail panel, Stock rear hatch, 10" Elemental Designs sub powered by a Punch 40 2channel amp (circa 1995, still going strong)
I just replaced a set of Alpine 170A speakers I put in the doors back in 2005. Something went wrong with driver's side and I replaced them this morning with a pair of Infinity Reference 6032si 6.5-Inch, Shallow Mount High Performance 180-Watt Two-Way Loudspeakers. These are 2ohm vs. the 4ohm Alpine. I noticed right away that the highs are much more pronounced. I'm liking them a lot. They were even easier to wire than the Alpines as I didn't have to cut any wires on the speaker. All four leads are going to the same two posts. If you're looking for an upgrade over stock, consider these. Spent less than $60 total.
