Jason Novak mod on the 500 monsoon h/u

I already have checked the Web for this but I just found how to do it on a grand am stereo. I'm trying to keep the stock look on the interior. So I'm wondering if any of you fellows have seen a thread where it said how to do this. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to add a auxiliary so that I can plug my mp3.

I think you can add an adapter through the aux. input but it may have to go through the radio. It can be done, see your local sound shop to find out what can be done. These Monsoon systems are not very aftermarket friendly.

Last night I was checking the PIE GM9-AUX which is supposed to plug on the radio, but I think you need to have a CD changer.

you dont need to have a CD changer physically in the car to do the Novak mod...I talked to him about it just recently because my CD changer was removed because it no longer worked. I started to do the mod but my monsoon head unit also has a tape player which complicated it to the point that I decided to put that mod aside for a little while "might just buy a new radio". The novak mod taps into the cd input and makes the radio think that you are playing a CD even tho you arent. It also works as a pass through so if you are actually playing a CD, it will still work.

I have seen it done before in a camaro and the quality was great...one of the issues with the FM transmitters is that they can be rough on quality sometimes. If you dont mind soldering or wiring diagrams, the novak mod really isnt that hard...if you have issues reading what wires do what and where they go I would probably recommend against it lol
