How to replace subs in sails
I just want to keep the stock speakers but my sail subs sounds bad is this a easy replace. Can someone give me some help. Is it as easy as popping the cover of and getting a new one and putting it in its place???? Thanks

Short answer yes. You can get to the screws after you pop the cover just be careful not to break the tabs on the cover.

If you are replacing stock, you will want to match the ohms of the replacement to the original. And I think you have to take the sail panels off to get to the screws. Pop the speaker cover off and look.

Not sure off hand where to buy stock speakers new. Although, if you could find them new they would be a pretty penny. ebay is a good place to check for used though.
I know that there is a company that is supposed to make after market speakers that go with the Monsoon systems in our cars, but can't remember what their name is.
Maybe someone else will remember and point you in the right direction.

I don't think it is just one company that makes them,If i remember correctly they have to be 2 Ohm. Yes all you do is pop that the cover of and unscrew. The only issue is if the new speaker has a bigger magnet on it then you need a spacer ring

should be 2 ohm 6.5'' right?
I would wait for these to come out if I were you
probably going to have to space them out little bit, I'd post their phone number but I don't think I can here since they arn't a sponsor

I can't remember the exact unit, but mobile audio gouged me when I first got the car for new sail panel speakers. They were a 2ohm Kenwood that bolted in without removing the interior trim. Sounded great too.

I'm thinking those won't fit... That's a lot of magnet.
