hey every1 new to the forum

needed help on if i should pay some1 to install my new 6 and half 2 door speakers on my 02 camaro or do it myself and save the money if so im not sure how 2 so need some direction thanks

welcome to the board. post this in the electronics section..they will give you diagrams and such.

You have 4 main options:

1 - mod your speakers and treat them as components, use all 4 wires in the door (can't be done on all speakers...cut new speakers, may not be desired..)

2 - use just the woofer wires (less power, but easiest solution)

3 - use an aftermarket HU if you have it, run new wires from it to doors (better, takes little time to run wires but more power than using just the woofer wires)

4 - amp them with an aftermarket amp (preferred, more expensive, more time in wiring, but best sounding)
