headlight troubles
i'm having troubles with my headlights....
wondering what could be causing this
i noticed my headlights seem to be dimming, low visibility
none are burned out
was driving down the road one night, with my brights on, i noticed suddenly it was like they got brighter
didnt think much about it, later on when i switched back off of bright, that they were really dim,so next stop sign i jumped out, i noticed all 4 lights were on on dim,so i clicked on the brights, only one was on, clicked em again & they went back to 2 lights on dim so i rolled on
very strange....
any ideas?
isnt there some kind of headlight control module, or maybe switch related?
please help!!!!

being as you have a bird, and pop ups i would look at the wiring to see if maybe a couple of wires possibly got wore thru and are grounding out on each other or possibly the car somewhere...thats really weird symptoms your having...maybe pull the headlight relay and check it for corrosion too?

How old are the bulbs? They could be going bad as well.

Unplug the connector for the lights.(They are under each set of headlights.)You'll have to remove the bezel and pop up the headlights. Manually raising the headlights is safer. I just turned mine on to pop them up, they didn't close when I unplugged the connector. Then reconnect them. I had to do this a couple of times, then no more problem.

seemed to be an issue with the connector under the headlight assembly
i wiggled it a little & they straightened right out
guess its just a bad or loose connection in there
maybe corrosion
not sure really
any ideas on how to fix this permanently?

Replace it. It seems like the wires are too small. Cna't carry the voltage. You could go HID. that would replace all that wiring. Probably only cost you a little more than rpalcing wiring and pigtails.
