Has anyone installed a power antenna?
If so, was it a pain in the ass? And, is it worth it?
I've come up with a lot of searches to buy power antenna's for our cars.
But, I haven't been able to find a thread about anyone actually putting one in.

Are you repairing a broken unit or up grading. If you already have power usually the plastic cable snaps and can be replaced butt is a little tedious. If your installing the entire unit with motor and mast and all it's pretty easy.

It would be an upgrade. No power antenna right now... But, I wouldn't mind one. Especially when covering up my car at night

I've just seen them while searching a few parts sites and my Camaro is the only car I have that doesn't have one. So, I was thinking maybe I'd install one

I will
One of my neighbors told me that too. I've never had a problem with the one in my Probe, but I've replaced the one in my Alfa twice.
Still just mulling it over for now. But, if I do... I'll come back and let ya all know how it went
Thanks for the input!

Yep, I"ve got an 88 Spider Graduate. I bought it in 94 and it's a fun little car. 5 speed, twin upper cam
But, I wreaked it in 2000 and have to fix the front end. It's been sitting as a non op for years...
Here's my poor little black beauty
And, here's my piece of shit Ford Probe too. Actually, it's a good little car.

The truck is my husbands. All the cars are mine
I think that the Probe would be fun with an LS1 in it! After my Chevelle was stolen the 3rd time, and came back like a pretzel on a flatbed... I got the Probe as a temporary vehicle. But, it ended up sticking around...
I gave up on finding a completely restored replacement Chevelle or 1st gen Camaro that I could afford...there just aren't any. So, bought my 00 SS.

No, the cars I've been looking at go for around 30k and up! I am no longer in a position to do any restoration myself nor do I have the room for it around here...
Lots has happened over the last 6 years.... and, lets just say, it sucks!
But, it is what it is and who knows... Maybe I'll end up with another baby car someday
Until then, I've got my Camaro

that camaro is enough to keep you happy
well...30 k...wow...hmmm...i couldn't do it. i couldn't pay 30k for even a new car right now. i just don't think it's worth it. some ppl need that status symbol...i need a car that works like a mule. maybe when the economy changes...i'll buy around the 30k range, but that's just a waste of money. guess i'm slightly too conservative....but me and debt don't like each other.
