    Electronic voltage stabilizer?

Wierd question that i ran across and they made claims on these things that i just wasnt even sure about.
I understand the basic principle of a voltage stabilizer is to control voltage surges and whatnot but are these actually as usful as they claim? for $18 im willing to try it since all it does is bolt on to the battery, but has anyone ever tried one? I guess for stereo heavy cars it would be viable.
heres the claims that i googled on stabalizers that I found were interesting:
Save Up To 5% On Fuel
Increase Horsepower Up To 7% more hp
Easy to install - Takes Less Than 20 Minutes
Fits All Makes And Models Of Cars And Trucks
Works On Carbureted And Fuel Injected Engines
    For Gasoline And Diesel Engines

im considering it just to see if it will get rid of that "pulsation" in the voltage that seems to do it with the speed of the motor that happens while idling at stops.

im guessing that all this is is a small capacitor that youll bolt on to decrease the spikes you can get when using alot of electrical accessories all at once. i may be wrong tho

If it is increasing HP and fuel eco then it is tricking the regulator into thinking it does not have to put out as much current as it normally does and the rgulator adjusts.

will it cure the "pulsation" or is that an Altenator issue? Ive been also considering doing the "Truck Altenator Mod" to cure this too. How does this stabilizer do all thats advertised if its only hooked on to the battery?

LOL at HP increase. Not going to happen. Not going to increase fuel economy either.

From the sounds of this product, it seems to be a voltage regulator. ALL that will do is cut the the high voltage spikes down, it will not boost the voltage up when the alt drops voltage down. It could possibly slow the discharge down alittle, if using good enough capacitors, but I wouldn't count on it, as those capacitors are what they use in bigger audio systems.

I'd be looking at an alternator issue or voltage regulator issue first.

Yeah im gonna go with the truck altinator mod to see if that will cure that problem. I was just looking at small things to get my car.
