Electrical gremlins...HELP
Alright....I basically had a draw which was draining my battery. I disconneted my battery and ran my test light from the positive terminal to the now disconnected positive lead. I narrowed it down so that if i disconnect my radio the draw (test light goers off) dissappears. So i ordered a new radio and the same thing is happening. If i disconnect the radio the draw goes away. i tried my neighbors radio and the same thing occurs. I have narrowed it down to the radio itself, but I don't think it is the radio as it happens with different radios, brand new and totally different brand. Can't stand to have my radio disconnected as it will kill the battery in ~3 days...
Any help/ ideas/ experiences are more then welcome.

The radio will draw a small current to keep the memory presets, but it sounds like it is not turning off fully, if you are running a harness adaptor, dissconnect the one for memeory and see what happens, then the one that is supposed to come from a keyed source.

It is drawing through the red wire or the keyed source is causing the draw. Shouldn't this end up grounding itself when the key is off?? Where can this circuit be left open? maybe the RAP module?

With out seeing how you wired it its hard to tell, but when the key is in the off position there should be no draw. Did you wire in a new supply?

dont forget, the bcm will keep the radio on for a few minutes after you shut off the car. Once you open the door it should go off. If it is still drawing I would think that the bcm is bad.

If you open the door and radio doesn't go off its door switch....mine went bad and caused problems with setting the alarm. If it still doesn't kill power after 8 or 10 minutes after pulling key(regaurdless of door position) I would look at BCM.
