Double Din Radio
Has anyone attempted, or has installed a double din stereo in a '98 and newer camaro? I want a DVD/GPS/Stereo, but I dont like the motorized screen idea. It looks like there is enough room behind the radio bezel, but is there a kit, or replacement bezel to allow the double din radio?

Sent you a PM with a link. What ever way you go you will have to move the A/C controls.

Alpine makes some great double din size decks, i have one in my 00 TA. i used a trim piece offered by 6LITER.com to make it look like factory. i dont have any pix since im at work right now but it's got a back up camera, blue tooth , and nav

Kenwood makes a nice series of DD headunits with Garmin based GPS. Sony makes a DD with a Tom-Tom based GPS. Alpine probably has the best IPod interfaces although their GPS interface's aren't as nice as the Garmin units IMO. Personally, you'll spend a lot less money by going single DIN headunit and a standalone GPS while getting a better interface for both.

TPILEWS, thanks for the picture! As easy as it would be to have a single din radio (as I already have installed), and have a seperate GPS unit, I want to combine things, and not have multiple items that can be done with one. Plus,I cant stand having power cords flopping around! I did find a used 2000 SS on craigslist in Winstom Salem area that had what I am looking for, and looks like they trimmed & painted the radio bezel to look factory. I am actually thinking of building my own center console and have it tied into the bottom of the radio/AC mount.
I figure if I am going to keep this car for awhile, might as well do what I want to it!
