Door Speaker Help 62.7i Not Avail

Im the newb asking all the newb questions this week lol. Anyways Got a bone stock 2k2 SS with 9500 miles on the clock. I blew the Monsoon door speakers. From all of my Search button usage came to the conclusion that I would need some Infinity 62.7i's. Well they are discontinued, what else have people been using in leiu of those speakers. And how did you install them. I do not want to go cutting and hacking the car and would like a LKQ replacement. I dont thing wasting my money on OEM again is a good idea.

For the simplest approach - the OEM speakers are supposed to be improved. If you search there are a couple of alternatives to the 62.7is listed. They're not a sponsor here but KEE audio has a package that eliminates a good deal of guess work.

Yea I saw that AC Delco claims they have improved them. Im not buying it. Why would they want to change a design on a part for a car that is 8 years old. Delco is probably more focused on the 2010 Camaro now. I may just look into the Kee package as it sounds the most complete. I googled the 62.7is and some vendors have them for sale but...Their customer ratings are pretty bad. Is this something I should be concerned about with $80 dollar speakers? LOL

Did you do a Google search for the 62.7i? There are still a few out there, I have them in my car.

I just put a new set of Infinity speakers in my doors. Some jerk at the car wash sprayed water all in them and they bought me a new set and payed the install fee. Another good brand is the Sony Xplod, that's what I had in there before.
