u know i must be goin crazy... i guess i just forgot but my steering wheel controls do light up. only thing out is my passenger door red light for the switches. I am telling u though that thing is a joke it barely does anything. its funny how poor of a design it is i really was shocked to see how little that red light illuminates the door switches.

Jason, if the bulbs are blown, replace them with LED's. Use clear LED's since the red LED's will not be as bright since the lens is already red. I have them on my T/A door panels and they look sweet!

Scroll down until you get to where it says 74-xHP Wedge Base LED Bulb then pic a color.

I pulled my door interior off today fixing the window felt strip to avoid the crack that so many of our cars get, and in the process, I found the bulb out that illuminates my door lock and window operation. I tried pulling the bulb out, but could not get it out. Any suggestions? Just pull harder????

I'm like you TSS, I hate breaking things, even though they don't work. But in the course of getting everything working like it should, I may have to 'just break it' in order to get the old ones out. I ordered the 74-xHP Clear LED bulbs, should have them in a couple days. I was glad to hear that no other electrical additions had to be made in order to have these LED's installed. Otherwise I would have gone back with regular incandescent bulbs. Hopefully, these will be bright and last a while.....

The clear LED's are not very bright. You should have went with the red LEDs which are much brighter. I bought both at the same time and tried both.

The factory style bulbs get hot and kind of seat themselves in there. You will not hurt anything by breaking them. Its just a bulb and not the socket that you are breaking.
