disc changer on the fritz
I had to buy a new bird recently due to an accident, the good news is it came with some nice factory options my last didn't, one of them being a ten disk changer. The bad news is that i can't get an cd's to play. The changer itself seems to work because it opens properly and takes the cd's but what i try to play them it shows the track and the gives me E30 error before anything can play. Has anyone experienced this before, or does that code help in anyway? I am sick as hell of the radio, please help!

sounds like the CD player cant read the disc error is this the factory changer ? does not really matter much unless you really want to keep eveything OEM , go to a GREAT streoro Store and buy a new CD changer they should be able to plug on in to the wires that are there, If not you can get a RF changer that will play over a radio station Not as good as one thatis wired in but not bad other wise you will have to buy one from GM and not sure what they sell them for but will be a lot morethen a after market Changer

yeah it is factory as far as i can tell. I was hoping to not have to buy one, and a GM one is definately too expensive. I guess i'll have to shop around and find one. thanks for the advice!
