Can I keep my steering wheel audio controls?
Is there any way to keep my steering wheel audio controls and get an aftermarket head unit.
I know its possible, but Is it possible without spending 1000's of dollars?

Of course it's possible - the most common part used for this is the PAC SWI-X. It works with any HU with infrared capabilities (so any HU that comes with a remote control).

thanks, I Yahoo'd it ( I am tired of say Google it, because I don't use google, so since I use yahoo, I will say I "yahoo'd it"
$69.99-- sounds like an okay product, but some people aren't happy with it, they say it doesnt work as well as they would like, some say that there is a delay, and others say that when in the daylight, it has a hard time working.
Not sure If i would get it.
Anyone here have it?

Yea it does get mixed reviews -- but if it does delay a little (from what I've seen, people usually don't have problems with it not working at all) then it probably isn't the end of the world if you have to touch the HU like us Camaro owners.

Alpine makes a connector that plugs directly in to the stereo. the only draw back is I think you need to have an alpine stereo. I'm pretty sure you program the stereo to work with the controls. So if you havent bought a new stereo yet i would consider alpine. I have one and i am completely satisfied, i have to buy the connector though.

yeah i've had my alpine for a while now and the only time i really every think about the steering wheel controls is when i'm on the highway. I just want them to work just to say that they work.

I think i may have been mistaken about that, its been awhile since i looked at stereo stuff. i'm not sure if this is what i was talking about or if that part was canceled. check this link out though.

First off thanks for finding the link, at least it gives me an option. That item seems to have some mixed reviews as stated in the link though-reliability issues. Is that what others have used?
