    Bad door plunger?

Hey guys, A couple weeks ago I replaced my door lock actuator and now my door is not registering that it is open. The dome light wont turn on and the accessories don't turn off. I have it all apart again because the window motor just took a dump on me so I'm in the middle of that and trying to fix this problem too.
Anyone have any idea of what it could be? First off the connector further up in the door wasn't connected but I reconnected both of the connectors and made sure their in there good but still nothing. Could there be an adjustment or way of testing this?
    Thanks in advance

Take a multimeter to the door switch and check continuity when the door is closed and when it is open it should read open. Also check the door switch when it is close to see how much resistance there is. should be none.

Sounds like a possible BCM problem.

Could I have messed it up by swapping out the door lock actuator?

The switch is bellow the A pillar. Other side of the door from the latch. Most call it the plunger. This switch opens and closes a circuit that runs to the BCM and tells the BCM if the door is open or closed and activates the lights and other features. If there is nothing wrong with the switch then it has to be further down the circuit or as smittro said in the BCM.

Don't think changing it would have caused this, but I don't know if the door lock circuit is tied into the BCM or not.

So does that mean I should take it to a gm stealership for a diagnostic on what I should change?
