I just took the plug assemby from the speaker then spliced the 4 wires into two so that it corisponded with the aftermarket speaker. then tied that into the speaker wires. the sound qulity is better then before. If you do it right it turns out great. but if you don't know anything about wireing then eaither have the store do it or find someone who can.

lol i would go with pioneer if i was you, good speakers not to bad on price, like they said 4x6 and make sure they are three way or 4 way which refers to bass treble mid's all that shit, at least 3 way if you want the same sound quality or better, i hope this helped a little, its not complicated theres only 2 wires. match the colors!

no prob, i had the same problem as you , the problem is when you turn your stereo up loud, you blow the bass section of the speaker, which makes that rattlle, i did the same thing a few times, until i just installed 2 ten inch subs, which take all the bass well most of it, and you can turn your radio up as loud as you want, the speaker are actually really good except the bass part, so now you have the bass from the subs the mids and hi's from the old speakers, and WAMM you have a good system and no more blown speakers!

i did it and i recomend it to you! your looking to spend as little as 200 to $$$ your choice, i think a good install and box so you can still store your t tops would be about 500.

    good luck

If you're talking about the rear hatch speakers, those are 4" and can be replaced by any 4ohm pair. Before I tore out the Monsoon system, I put in a pair of Memphis Car Audio 4" back there and they sounded great.

no, those are full range 4". The factory Monsoon system has 6.5" subs in the sail panels and 6.5" full range in the doors. Keep in mind that if you want to replace the door and sail speakers, you must get 6.5" oversize so basicaly 6.75". Some companies call them "oversize" instead of 6.75"

Yeah, that's an alternative. JL also makes a box just like that which fits in the rear left side where the CD changer is if you have one. I'm making my own box out of fiberglass but it will be custom for that same hole.
