automatic door unlo

i had an aftermarket car alarm installed with the stock deterrent system, and the aftermarket alarm broke one day

so i took it to an alarm shop to have it taken out keeping the stock system. now i lost the feature where when the ignition is turned off the doors unlock automatically and vise versa. anyone know where i can start to look to obtain this feature again?

What year and car are we talking about? I didn't think the stock BCM's had that feature but then again mine is a 97.

That feature was common in W-bodies.. Never even heard of it in f-bodies.

lol seriously, when i would turn my ignition to "on" the doors would lock, same thing happened when i turned the car off, the doors would unlock. R u telling me it was uncommon in f bodies, maybe it was a feature of the aftermarket alarm....

sounds like it may have been a feature of the old alarm. I may be wrong but I do not recall the F-body BCM having that option. If you want to look through on how to setup the options in the BCM there are articles online and the instructions came in the owners manual. I went through mine not that long ago and I did not have that option.

I wanna say my 99z has it too, will check tonight after work and get back to ya tomorrow. Seriously, I think it does have that feature????? Maybe, sorta, nah Im lying.....
