Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
any low profile/slim sub owners?
hey all,
I was looking into some of the low profile or slim profile subwoofers. Most likely a 10". I was wondering if anyone has used one before and if they could tell me how the sound quality and tightness compare to a regular sub and box. I was never a fan of ported boxes, they are louder but they just don't have the tone quality of a sealed box. I am hoping that the slim subs will keep a nice tight bass tone. I mostly listen to rock, some rap and whatever else sounds good. Any insight would be appreciated.
thanks!!

I dont have any experience with this setup, but i can tell you that you will want to match the sub to whatever box you are thinking about. Depends on first of all, if it vented or not. And the cubic footage. Subs are designed to run with a given air volume. Maybe you already know this. What vehicle are you thinking of putting this in? And what box options are you looking at?

I have a Kenwood KFC-XW1000F shallow sub. It has a great sound for the music I listen to. ( Mostly rock) It is not the loudest sub but I dont need people outside my car to hear my sub thumping.
Half way down the page is pics of my set up.
