    Alpine Type X sub

I just want everyone that is interested to know that the Alpine Type X does work in the drivers side subthump stealth box. Here's a picture of mine in there and mounted. the only problem I see is that when you store your t-tops, the rubber part of the outer edge of the sub will hit against the passenger top. I don't think it will cause damage to either the sub or the top unless you have the sub cranked up. Just what I think, but I don't care to test my hypothesis lol

How does it sound it the driver's side stealth box? Do you have the new 1000 watt PDX Alpine mono amp? So, the sub fit in the "Subthump" box without spacers or any fabbing of anykind?

yeah, i just set it in and mounted it. no other fabric or spacers or anything. the amp i'm using is the 1.1000 pdx amp(the brand new one). i would recommend a 2 farad or higher capacitor. my lights are dimming when the bass hits and i don't have it cranked up or anything. the amp is at about a quarter of the way in gain and the stereo is at about 10(of 15).

Does the sub overpower your music, does the bass sound good? You did get your box from "Subthump", right?

no the sub goes really well with my music. I don't know what your running, but I'm running at about 430-680 watts RMS through my 6 speakers at all times. But it sounds really good I think.I'm very happy with the sub. I would definitly recommend it. It is the box from subthump.com.
