2000 Z/28 stock stereo - possible iPod hookup?

I have a 2000 Z/28 that has an am/fm cd stock stereo. One of the buttons has a cd/aux title which I imagine was for a trunk mounted multiple-disk player. Is it possible to tie in an iPod cable to work to the cd/aux button?

It should work. My brother-in-law has his IPod hooked up in his 04 Silverado w/ his factory radio. The factory radio has the same AUX option. He had to buy a converter or a pigtail for it to work. I will email him to find out the name.

Now this is nice! I recently bought a 5th gen iPod Nano and would love to get perfect sound from it in the Camaro. I bought one of those Monster Cable ones that plug into the cig lighter and the sound quality is terrible.

I wonder if they're an easy install?

It looks like the car audio store I'll get my new speakers from carries this too.

As far as I know there is a spot in the back of the HU for something to plug into if you have the Aux feature on you HU.

I'd probably just have the shop install it while it's in getting the speaker upgrades.

Let us know how that ends up working out for you. I used something called an fm interupter, sounds as clear as the radio, blows those shitty fm transmitters away, but isn't as good as a cd.
