Do you know what a double din looks like? Look at your dash then -- and you would see that the bezel would need some work. It's a custom job, but it can be done. Search on LS1Tech.com for some examples.

Standard DIN size is 1.5 in our cars, much easier to get a bezel to go smaller than go custom to go bigger

+ dual din (double din) aftermarket always looks cheesy in cars (IMO)

Not always IMO -- it does look a lot better in the Camaro installs I've seen compared to Firebird installs.

Here's an install someone posted over on LS1Tech.com:

    Here's one in a Firebird....which doesn't look nearly as nice (IMO) with it's bezel/trim:

those actually look okay, I was thinking of old school Dual Din, with the smaller screen and large buttons. the full screens do look pretty nice.

ah yea -- I totally forget about those when people mention DD since IMO there's no reason to unless you want a large screen/touchscreen.

This proves how long I have been out of the car audio scene. I use to know all the latest and greatest info, but I haven't picked up a Car audio magazine in probably 6 years. Maybe longer.

well also proves how ignorant I was to those systems -- there is reason for those in our cars still -- I didn't mean it that way......

The reason for DD like that without a large screen would be to maintain a factory look -- I said there is no reason for that though because usually people wanting that will opt for 1.5 Dins.
