    1999 Z28 Audio Q's

Interested in expanding my audio. I have two 10'' kickers in the garage. Here are the problems I am running into. Does the 1999 Delco Monsoon system have the pre-outs to run another amp to power the 10's? And do you know how much hole cutting usually runs for installing them, or is there somewhere else they can be installed in the car? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

As far as I know the Monsoon amp has no pre-outs.

Honestly? I would scrap the entire Monsoon system instead of trying to rig something up. If you are serious about audio, the Monsoon leaves much to be desired. I replaced the H/U with a high-powered Alpine and the speakers with decent Infinitys and it sounds 1000% better.

Can you still utilize the amplifier after buying an aftermarket cd player do you know?

Thanks I can use all the help I can get. I still want to be able to use the factory amp, but due to some custom wiring configuration, Delco loves to make their premium factory audio hard to customize.

Our system is easier to customize than maybe 90% of those on the market today.

The stock Monsoon amplifier simply takes the speaker-level outputs from WHATEVER deck you put in the dash.

Biggest upgrade you can do to the stock system is put in a good, powerful, aftermarket headunit. Pioneer offers a few 30WRMS x 4 now... higher the better, because you get less clipping.
