    06 GTO Stock Stereo Upgrade

IS there anyone that knows how to do this? Im kind of disappointed with the bass in my Goat, (yes, ive turned off all distortion/speed dependent volume) and the only thing I can think of is adding a sub. So I got this Sony XM2002-GTR 2 Channel amp that was in my Ion (up until I crashed it), and I want to hook up a single 12 in the GTO. Any kind of help would kick ass.

All you need to do is get a adapter.

There are a couple different styles. I usually run some T-taps to the rear speakers then just a short set of RCA's to the amp.

That one is from JL and like $10-15. Your amp needs to be able to handle high level inputs for this style.

If your amp needs a low input you must run a adapter.

Here is a link with some info for you and some other options for adapters.

Dude, seriously, is there anything about goats that you dont know? Thanks a ton....

So I got rid of the X-Plod amp, and am currently considering one of them amplified bass tubes from bazooka. I know they dont pound like a good box/amp/sub setup, but Im just looking for that extra bit of ooomph. Besides power, I gotta get the audio signal to it, that I know. If I tap into the rear speakers, I assume they'll still be connected. Wont tapping in alter the impedance or something like that?

Why not try out some very solid midbass speakers?

Tapping in can alter the load........ It depends exactly on what those T-taped wires are connected to. Some of the self powered subs you are referring to take that input to convert the signal to there internal amp. By doing this the speaker wire see's NO load thus Never changing the load (ohm's) your stock amp see's.

I would personally buy a old school very Clean (audiophile grade) sound quality amp and put it on a single 8 or 10 and it will sound and hit way harder and cleaner than any Bazooka product they have made since 94-95 when they became out sourced Jap junk like almost ALL others.
