*FINISHED* custom 12" box for trunk well - FINALLY...
finished the box -- just need to mount the amp on the side of the box or on an amp rack..haven't decided yet -- temporarily using a rack until I think if I really want some holes in the box...
here is the thread with progress build pics:
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58463
decided to make a new thread since the other one has many pictures that are useless to see unless someone else needs ideas for building
amp rack is not in in these pics because it is a temp. setup
TC-2000 driver mounted
ignore the carpet under the box -- it's gone now
view from in the car
room for excursion (enough for my amp...only 800wRMS):

thanks for viewing!Last edited by fredmr85; 08-02-2007 at 09:55 AM.

thanks! glad it has gotten some positive feedback at least -- I was told on another site that it looked ugly.... not sure how because you can only see 2 sides of the entire box - it wasn't made to look fancy, just to use all of the space available on half the trunk well.

Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
How does it sound?
looks like a decent install and you still have some room for junk in the trunk. I wouldn't want that tho cuz i have t-tops.

Your box looks good, don't really see why they would tell you otherwise.

amp rack done as well:
it extends behind the sub box over that support beam seen in previous pics and the other sid rests on the trunk well side wall -- the whole thing can be lifted as it were on a hinge for storage space underneath.
hopefully you never see another thread like this from me again
