VATS problem?

I've been having a new problem with the GTO lately. Every now and then I go to start the car and it just turns over without hitting, try over and over and nothing. Take the key out reinsert and it starts up fine. No problem I've just been getting used to this happening so it's second nature to take the key out. Well the other day taking the key out didn't hepl no matter how many times I tried it would just spin. So I got out disconnected the battery reconnected it and it fired right up. Going to start using the other key to try to isolate whether it's the key or the sensor on the column, but i wanted to see if this was a common issue such as the sticky key thing or mine just giving me the usual fits. I'm getting ready to try to sell it so I need to fix everything I can on it.

It's possible it may just be the key, so I'd start by checking the other key as you stated. It could also be VATS. You may want to check the fuel pressure as well, and make sure there isn't an issue there. You should have 58 psi at the rail. Low fuel pressure can cause an issue like this too.
