Any mail order tune is a canned tune, no matter who is doing it. It'll definitely be closer than a handheld but its still not like being tuned at the shop. Doing the right thing by not getting a handheld though.

I have to disagree with Sarge and you other guys on the hand-held units, My car is tuned By Diablosport.....however it is a custom tune they sent via e-mail, that got it close, It was a little Fat, and the timing had to be advanced some more. I did that on the Dyno with a wide-band 02 sensor. I can Post up A/F ratio if needed but it was very close...a few tweeks and it was right there. Hands down just as good as any tuner out there....#'s to prove it.......thats the way I see it. just my .02worth......lol

You could not be any more wrong if you tried Rob. Nelson's mail order tunes are from alibrary of a lot of cars with thousands of variations of mods......versus a canned LS1/LS2 tune. Huge difference in the two...

Regardless, its still a canned tune as the car isn't there being tuned. You can have two identical cars and the tune can be different between the two. It'll be close but not perfect.

I can garantee you that Nelson would "touch up" his mail order tune if the car came in his shop. Just the way it is. Every car is different.

I base my statements on seeing and experiancing Allens tunes firsthand on peoples cars.....and there are many on this board in the Fbody world that have his tunes....your making assumptions....so I'll ask a few of the Fbody guys to share with you how much tweaking was done....after they installed the mail order and later had a dyno run.....
