    Trunk Release

I have to press the trunk release button while I lift the trunk on my GTO. If i use the button in the glove box I have no chance in hell of opening it by myself. How does everyone elses trunk work. Does it pop open or does the catch stay open for more than two seconds.

That is how mine was for the longest time. It got to the point where it was having trouble opening as the latch was getting stuck. I ended up taking the cover of the trunk lid off and getting to the whole mechanism and lubing the crap out of it. That has seemed to work. Now I can push the button in the glove box and get to the trunk to open it. FYI there is also a release under the back seat headrest on the passenger side.
