I know that alot of guys run up to 275s but they've rolled their fender lips and have drag bags on. I'll go do some reading and get back to you on the 265's.

265's on stock 8" rims are not reccomended. The center of the tire will "crown" and you will not have a flat contact patch. It was reccomended to use 9" wheels if you want to be safe. Some have put them on the stock 8" rim but don't auto-x. They are deffinately not for the front on stock rims.

Black chromed.
Oh tint is coming but is waiting until I move to Florida (soon) so I can legally get 28 all the way around. Ohio only allows 50 on the front windows.

Florida law says the limit for front windows is lighter than back, maybe it is 28% for the front. But then again except for a few jusrisdictions nobody cares down here. It's too damn hot!

Get a Dr's note saying you have migraines, you can tint it as much as you want and they give you a sticker for the window that says its legit. GTO1_OHIO, you havent had any strut rubbing?

Doesn't really matter as long as it's no farther north of Tampa/Orlando/Melbourne. lol I turned down a job offer in West Palm last month because the numbers weren't what I wanted. ...so I'll keep looking. My in-laws are in Vero and best friends are in Port St Lucie so I'm trying to get to the east coast. I lived in the Melbourne area for about 15 years.

pardon my apparent newb-ness but what would a bit of a wider tire get? Even in just a small increase? Say if I were to put 255/40/17 instead....worth anything?

Im kind of wondering the opposite of what this threads leaning towards. What is the lowest I can go on the stock 17s? I was thinking 235/40R17, but I dont know since stock on mine was 245/45R17. And OHIO, would adding a 5mm spacer in the front help push my rim away from the strut?

It would but then you lose that amount of thread tightening down the lug nut. So what I did was to go to an extended lug nut to recapture that thread. See how the top one goes into the hole in the wheel where as the on on the bottom just goes up against the wheel. Now the only thing is...these will work with stock wheels because the hole is large enough for the extended part to fit into...but on some aftermarket wheels the hole is too small.
