    Tire pressure and wheel shake

If I have my 2 fronts at 32lbs I get a slight vibration at 70mph....at 35lbs of pressure I am as smooth as glass. Just food for thought for some of you fighting the mysterious shake

I go by the door sticker. 35 psi on all four corners with the 17s. 32 psi with the staggered 18s.

I'm bringing this thread back because I have this problem too and want to take care of it before it gets worse.

I go by the door and keep my tires at 30 psi and get a little bit of vibration in my steering wheel around 60-65, and definitely at 70. Is the increase in tire pressure the answer or should I look into getting a balance?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Ooops I didn't see that this was in the GTO forum. I have this problem with my Z28. Still hope I get some good advice. Thanks!

Could be rotor warp. I have to cut mine. I balanced my fronts and I still get a vibration at 50 mph.

Look at all four corners before you head out on the road.
The tires should be flat as a board = no vibration.
Cupped or low pressure = vibration

38psi on the fronts & 36psi on the rears for me (18's). Sharpens things up a bit & gives pretty even tyre wear.

33 all the way around for me, but if I have passengers or a trunk load of stuff seems like 35 all the way around works well. Also Sarge has a deal on cleaning up the hats and rims, they rust bad, cleaned them up with a wire brush on a drill and then put AS on the hat and torqued to 100 lbs. Hope this helps.
