    Question Superchips Programmer 2740

    Hi,

When I hookup the programmer it has 2 levels: Performance and 87 octane

Does this mean I could run 87 octane without hurting the motor?

    THanks

Yes it means they have a setting where they pulled some timing to allow for cheaper fuel usage without depending on the knock sensor to pull timing due to pinging.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

No problem! Don't be afraid to ask. You'll notice that the car will seem lazy or rev on the slow side with that tune due to the pulled timing.
