    super slow windows

anyone know if there is a way to make our windows roll up faster and easier...it seams like it takes everything my car's electrical system has to roll them up

Are they binding up? I know some of the window frames in the door sometimes come loose and make the windows bind up. Easy to fix....

not binding up that I know of, just the slowest windows I have ever seen in my life...foot on brake slows them down and if you try to put both of them up at the same time it really slows them down

Set the idle up 100 rpm. . . . . . . . . . . . . Get higher powered alt. If your brake lights are slowing them down more it sounds like a voltage issue.

Get your voltage gauge up with the secret window and see what the volts read when you roll the windows up. That should start you in the right direction.

This An Extremly Common Problem. It Is A Voltage Problem. I Bet That Your Passenger Window Is Slower Than Your Driver Window. The Power Comes In Directly To The Drivers Side And Then Runs To The Passenger Side. I Did See Somewhere On Ebay, Where A Guy Has A Kit For This Issue. It Is Some Kind Of Voltage Regulator. I Do Alot On Ebay, But I Am Not Exactly Sure Who He Is Or How To Find Him. Do An Advanced Search In Ebay Using Keywords 93-02 Windows. I Hope This Helps.

Damn , you mean to tell me the GTO has the same friggin slow power window syndrome as all of our F-bodies have . GM didn't learn a thing did they . Their still useing the same out-of-date pwr window motors that they were putting in the 93 thru 2002 Camaro's & Firbird's . Thats rich ! Kinda like that 1979 turn signal stalk that came in ALL GM products up until 2006 .

Nope, his GTO was just a bad apple. My windows work fine. My fbody did have a couple of bad window motors.

    My gto's driver side = 4.5 sec. Pass. side = 4 sec.
My wife's linc. mark VIII - both = 1.5 sec.
    I don't really care because my 5.7 kicks her 32v 4.6's ass.

Ive got the driver's side going slower than the passenger side on mine. My buddy with a 95 Z28had this problem. Brought it to the dealer and a guy at Chevy told him that the motors wear down over time, usually the driver's side first. Makes sense if you think about it; I drive solo most of the time and only use my drivers side window to vent the smoke out the car...
