Stock Gto Shifter

I had bought a 2005 GTO Tremec 6 speed for a hot rod i was doing and the tranny came with the shifter. I dont need it I was going to throw it out and somebody told me (from a tranny shop) that the shifter alone should bring in SIT DOWN $1200 on ebay. Is there any truth to this. She said that the Tranny shop couldn't get a new one with there discount for under that. Somebody help me decide whether to junk this thing or put it up for sale. I didn't want to waste my time putting it one ebay and making an ass of myself trying to get that much out of it. Thanks Chad

just the shifter? That thing isnt worth $100. Everyone with a M6 is switching it out to the GMM.

Not unless there is a bout a 1/2 pound of good thai stick in it...without the thai stick new ones ( aftermarket good ones) are going for like $100-$150....

What's GMM? Much better than the stock shifter?

yeah, that's what everyone has gone to. The "other" one really sucks I hear.

You can pick up a used stocker for less than $50. I have a couple that people didn't want and they just gave me when I swapped out the shifter. Not worth much of anything.

The shift knob is what's worth any money, not the shifter.
