stalled out traction control off???
I was cruising around the other day and i stalled out at a light and i started it up no problem like nothing happened. Yesterday she stalled out again approching a light and the traction control turned off. Im not to sure why im stalling but what would make the TC bug out with it? since this has happened im idleing at around 500 rpms witch is lower then usual. I am tuned so i dont think it could be the computer doin it. I am fairly up to date with maitnence on the car i am due for a tune up tho im just waiting for my tax check to do it. I have an 06 A4. Any help or leads would be great.

As for the second incident, Could it be the torque convertor not unlocking... if it continues to happen like that but tossing it in neutral solves the prob id be looking at the trans.

Either you have a throttle body issue causing the TC to not activate, or your MAF could be dirty. When was the last time your MAF was cleaned? If I recall, the MAF influences the traction control as well as performance. When the trac is enabled and the computer detects wheelspin, fuel is cut and I think the ABS is enabled for stability. Get back to us with what you find.

If the car dies but the key remains in the on position the tcs light flickers on n off I believe as well as abs. I thought this is what he was seeing.

Yup the key stays in the on position and the TC off indicator on my dash flashes. After that i put it in park and turn the car right back on and its fine. Cammed I last cleaned my MAF when I installed my varraram intake about a year ago Im gonna give a good cleaning and report back tomorrow. It would make sense that would be the problem and im idleing at a lower rpm . it just really bugs me out that it would trigger the traction control to turn off.

Cleaned my MAF sensor and intake yesterday and the car is running a hell of alot better. Even when it shifts its feels smoother. As far as stalling out i drove around yesterday for about 2 hours with no problems i had the heat on everything trying to replay the scenarios it has stalled on me. Thank you guys!!!
