I'd have to say even if I won the lotto and became a millionaire I'd still be buried in the garage, dirty and working/ building cars...I'd just be in a slightly bigger garage and have afew more specialty tools.
I don't build them for shows, I build them to drive, beat the hell out of and enjoy. I have built a few show cars for a couple of people, but its not really my thing, I'll take the one with a scratch here and there and alittle wear over the "trailer queen" any day.

Oh and Knight, my true dream car is the 1969 Jag E-type coupe

I'm not saying I wouldn't be in my garage getting busted knuckles either, but sometimes time and sense make it easier to have someone else do some of the work. Probably would never have the whole car done by someone though. No fun in that. But if someone else does it that way - it's their call. Not everyone is as mechanically inclined or gifted as people like us.

Agreed on the Jag too! But I got too many dream cars to limit it to just one!
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Lol right now I can't wait to get the tune done so I can spend some time stripping/preping the outside for paint and then I can go back inside and make some pieces to trim the seat mounts out, maybe a cage if its fast enough and get everything to look truely finished finally
I need about a month long vacation and it would be finished finally.

I had a guy that would come into the shop every day and take progress pictures on a complete ground up resto/rebuild of a 1967 MG TD, I worked on that car for over 6 months and I don't think he missed a day...he had money and knew everything about this car, but couldn't turn a wrench to save his life lol

If I were to hit the lottery, I would pay off my goat, mod it some more, and look for a wrecked 05/6 to rebuild into a Monaro VXR500. Then buy a G8 and mod into an HSV GTS with a Harrop blower under the hood.

I'd look for a low mileage stock goat and put it into mothballs ... at least one needs to be preserved.

Those are what torched my carriers and gears - course they're not so much street as they are total slicks, lol. If you only drive it when the roads are wet you'll be fine. Really though, IDK how strong the frames are on the goats, but I'd be a bit leary in my t/a. You've probably done your homework though. No ricers gonna race you if you put the cage in it so you may not want to put one in lol!
    Keep the pics comin too!
